European training Centre in Andrology at the School of Medicine University of Zagreb and KBC Zagreb

In July 2016. the European Academy of Andrology (EAA) decided to award the School of Medicine University of Zagreb and Clinical Hospital Center “Zagreb” with the prestigious status of the European Center of education in Andrology (Eng. “Zagreb Training Center in Andrology”). It is one of 25 such centers that currently exist in Europe and in the world. A key role in the functioning of the center is given to Urology Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb (Head: Prof. Dr. Željko Kaštelan) and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Head: prof. PhD Slavko Oreskovic). Joint Center of School of Medicine and KBC “Zagreb” will launch soon a summer school entitled “Testis Histology and Pathology for Clinical Andrologists and Embryologists”. The center will be able to accept urologists and other physicians interested in Andrology and guide their training using a EAA curriculum. For the director of the Center, a regular member of the EAA, prof. Davor Ježek, Ph.D has been appointed. This certification process is a part of the activities of the Centre of Excellence for Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine at the School of Medicine University of Zagreb.
